Matteson, Sr., 76, of Camden, died on Sunday, December 10, 2007, in Bethany Gardens. He was born on May 6, 1931, in Camden, the son of Ralph H. and Dora McMahon Matteson. He was a 1949 graduate of Camden Central High School. On November 10, 1956, he married Mary Frances Oyer in Florence United Methodist Church. She died on September 16, 2006. Ralph worked for the Camden Central School District for 38 years. Upon his retirement from there, he owned and operated the Country Bike Shop for 14 years. Mr. Matteson was a veteran of the Air National Guard. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Gregg Heidenreich, Lyons, NY; two sons, Ralph Jr. (Rusty) and David Matteson, both of Camden; a sister, Jane Matteson, Camden; a brother, William (Bill) Matteson, Street, MD; four grandchildren, Lindsey, PFC David Jr. USMC, Trevor, and Keegan; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ralph was predeceased by three sisters, Mary Ann Musch, his twin, Ruth Pelletier, and Dora Catherine Matteson, and a brother, Thomas Matteson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Route 13, Camden. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
