Obituary of Steven J. Lanigan

Steven J. Lanigan, 64, of Rome, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Rome Health. Born in Buffalo on February, 9, 1957, a son of Dr. John and Sigrid (Johnson) Lanigan. He was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and Mohawk Valley Community College. Steve worked as a field service tech for 3M for many years. He loved the Adirondacks and enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, boating and skiing. Steve is survived by his mother, Sigrid; a son , Ryan Lanigan; a sister, Kathleen Daley (David); three brothers, Timothy Lanigan (Jane), Jeffrey Lanigan and Martin Lanigan; nieces and nephews, Megan and John Lanigan, Blair Daniel and Jason Pekar. He was predeceased by his father, Dr. John Lanigan. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, NY.
