Obituary of John T. Miller

John T. Miller, Jr.,70, of Rome, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at home. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, on February, 14, 1951, a son of the late John T. and Alyce (Davis Meyers) Miller, Sr. He graduated from Rome Free Academy and on May 20, 1971, he enlisted in the United States Army. He served for two years and was part of the airborne division before being honorably discharged on May 18, 1973. John worked for McAllister Fuels in Somers Point, NJ, as a HVAC installer for many years before retiring and moving back to Rome. John was a skilled craftsman. He had a love for the outdoors with hobbies including fishing, hunting, and hiking while observing the beauty of nature. John was an avid learner and he loved to share his passions with his family. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Jon Rosner and Krystle and David Hayes; a younger brother, Thomas Miller; three sisters, Susan Miller, Karen Lovett and Luana Copeland; a brother-in-law, Barry Copeland; five grandchildren, Israel, Eden, Isabella, David and Juliet; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Sandy Miller. Services celebrating John’s life will be held in Spring 2022 for family and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
