Obituary of Judy Thompson

Judith Ann Thompson, 68, of Rome, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021. She was born in Utica on August 20, 1953, a daughter of the late Harold and Faustina (Paul) Greenwood. She was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and on January 18, 1981, she was united in marriage to Andrew Thompson. Judy was a waitress at the Iron Kettle and Big Daddy’s Subs for many years. She was member of St. John the Baptist Church and loved to spend time in her garden and with her pets. Surviving besides her loving husband of over 40 years, Andy, is a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Ashok Nadanamoorthi; a sister, Donna Hutchings (Dana); two brothers, James (Norma) and Thomas (Sherry) Greenwood; a precious grandson, Leo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 12th at 3:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. 418 N. George St., Rome. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday prior to the service from 1-3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judy’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
