Obituary of Donnie Wimberly

Donald R. Wimberly, 43, of Whitesboro and formerly of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. He was born in Highlands, NY, on March 30, 1978 and attended Rome Free Academy where he excelled for the Black Knights on the football field. He was currently employed at Orgill in Rome. Donnie is survived by two brothers, Jovan (Erica) and Jordan Wimberly; grandmother, Dorothea Jackson; a very special friend, Patricia Spencer; and four nieces and a nephew, Alexandria, Andrea, Jillian, Milana and Isaac. He was predeceased by his mother, Valerie. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 10th at 5:00 p.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 203 Erie Boulevard, Rome NY 13440. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
