Obituary of Charles L. Gebo

Charles L. Gebo, age 67 of Taberg, passed away peacefully November 27, 2021, with his loving family by his side. He fought a very long and courageous 12-year battle of multiple cancers; he fought until he took his very last breath. He was born June 27, 1954 in Rome, NY, a son of the late Lawrence and Nellie Gebo and graduated from Camden Central School in 1973. Charles married his first and only love, Anna M. (Yeomans) Gebo, they enjoyed 48 years of marriage.
Charles worked for the Annsville Elementary School, General Lumber, and Kamp Kiwanis. He enjoyed being around his family, gardening, and had a strong passion and skill for wood working.
Charles is survived by his four children and a son and daughter in law, Debbie Gebo and Robbie Waterman of Vienna, Michael Gebo of Taberg, Joseph and Kerry Gebo of Pine Bush, NY, and Jessica and Justin Van Etten of Oriskany. Seven grandchildren, Katie, Abby and Dave, Erik, Zachery, Jakob, Mackenzie, and Conor. Two great grandchildren, Donald and David, five step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren.
Charles is also survived by his three sisters and two brothers in law, Mary Turner, Susan Turner, Shirley and Edwin Turner, and Mike Edick; four brothers and two sisters in law, Larry Bleyer, David and Peggy Gebo, Robert Gebo and many nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Sally Edick, two brothers in law, a sister-in-law, and a nephew.
Chuck requested that no services be held, but family, friends and cards of condolence are welcome at 9530 Boyd Road, Taberg, NY 13471.
