Obituary of Robert T. Tomassi

Robert T. Tomassi, 62, of Whitesboro, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Rome on January 18, 1959. Bob was a self-employed painter for many years. Prior to going out on his own, he was a union painter in South Bend, IN, where he worked at the University of Notre Dame. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and collector of Yankees memorabilia. Bob is survived by two daughters, Lisa Tomassi and Courtney Miller; two grandchildren, Haley and Kylie Miller; seven siblings, Diane Kraft, David Tomassi, Michael Tomassi, Monica Tomassi, Minica Tomassi, Roberta Hallenbeck and Karen Tardugno; his former wife and caregiver, Karen Tomassi; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Luciano Tomassi and a niece, Phyllis Barber. Bob’s family would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care for their wonderful care and compassion during his final days. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 19th at 2:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service from 12-2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob’s memory may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY 13413.
