Obituary of Pearl R. Parsons

Pearl R. Parsons, 81, of Blossvale, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at MVHS Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility in New Hartford, NY. Born in Rome on July 14, 1940, a daughter of the late Maynard and Gladys (Edick) Reese. On October 5, 1957, she was united in marriage to the Henry Parsons. He passed away in 2019. Pearl worked at the Psychiatric Center in Utica before retiring from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. She was a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Henry P. Smith Post #24. Pearl is survived by three daughters, Juanita Miller (Joseph), Alinda Goodman (John) and Judy Davis; four brothers, Maynard Reese, William Reese (Lauri), Dennis Reese (Diane) and Gary Reese (Nancy); fifteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Harris; a son, Clayton Parsons; and three sisters, Nola Wilkes, Patricia Moore and Deanna Mullen. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 20th at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Friday, November 19th from 4-6:00 p.m.
