He was born November 13, 1925 in Rome the son of William and Gertrude Harber Lauber, Sr.. Bill was educated in Rome. On August 25, 1956 he married Susan Henderson in Rome. She died August 12, 2003. Mr. Lauber was employed at Rome Cable Corp for over thirty years retiring in 1980. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. Bill was a member of the Henry P. Smith Post of the Rome American Legion. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Cecelia Lauber, Rome; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Lauber. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
