Obituary of Chase Owen Facciolo

Chase Owen Facciolo, 10, of Franklyn St., Rome, passed away early Thursday morning, October 28, 2021, at Rome Health. He was born on July 12, 2011, in Rome, the son of Peter Owen and Amy Facciolo Jaegers, Jr. Chase recently became a student at Strough Middle School but attended Louis V. Denti Elementary School. He loved his time at Denti and was known as the “Little Mayor”. He would travel the halls waving to his friends and teachers. He was a happy child with endless smiles. He enjoyed car rides especially when the destination was Big Jay’s Pizzeria. Surviving besides his parents, Peter and Amy; are his sister, Braelynn Jaegers, of Rome; his maternal “Amma and Papa” Claudia and Greg Facciolo, Jr., of Rome; his paternal grandmother, Crystal Jaegers, of Rome; his aunts and uncles, Kelly (Bill) Doolen, Greg Facciolo, III, Crystal Jaegers, Vickie (Jeremy) Jaegers-Ellis, Cheryl (Evan) Jaegers-Alligood, Stephanie (Luis) Jaegers, Tim Jaegers, Jason (Jessica) Jaegers, Jeremy Jaegers, Brian Jaegers, Michael (Huyen) Jaegers, Daniel Jaegers, and Darren Jaegers; numerous cousins including his best friend, Liam Doolen; his dog, Mason; and a beloved extended family including the workers at Big Jay’s Pizzeria. Chase was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Peter Jaegers, Sr.; and his uncle, Justin Jaegers. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 1:00 PM at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. where the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio will officiate. Interment will take place in Rome Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home, 418 N. George St., Rome. Chase loved to wear hats; in his memory, the family is asking everyone to wear their favorite hat when they attend his services.
