Deborah J. Minor, 67, of Whitesboro, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, at the Siegenthaler Hospice Center. She was born on September 6, 1954, in Rome, the daughter of George H. and Dorothy T. Sears Minor, Jr. She was a 1972 graduate of Rome Free Academy and went on to attend MVCC. She held many different jobs throughout her life, but retired as a florist for Utica Floral. Deborah loved to garden and had a true green thumb. Surviving are her three children, Jessica (Dana) Pashley, of Old Forge, Jonathan (Jim) Brock, of New Hartford, and Jennifer (Steve) Planck, of Poland; three grandchildren, Leigha Pashley, Autumn Santamour, and Lilly Planck; two brothers, Ted (Ruth Ann) Minor, of Lake George, and John (Juanita) Minor, of Lake Luzerne; her beloved dog, Fritz; and several nieces and nephews. Deborah was predeceased by a sister, Ann (Jack) Jensen, and a brother, Clark H. Minor, II. Deborah’s family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at the Siegenthaler Hospice Center for the kindness and compassion shown to her. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Rome Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Deborah’s memory to the Stevens Swan Humane Society, 5664 Horatio St, Utica, NY 13502, or Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY 13413. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
