Obituary of Mary E. Seaton

Mary E. Seaton, 71, of Westernville, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Rome Health. She was born in Rome on August 14, 1950, a daughter of the late Walter and Virginia (Kerber) Seaton, Sr. Mary was born with cerebral palsy and did not let that get her down. All her struggles in life she met with determination to not let it define her. She touched the lives of all who met her. She was happy and outgoing. Mary loved going to the casino and the New York State Fair, where she loved to play “I Got It.” She enjoyed doing jigsaw and wordsearch puzzles, along with playing BINGO and Sorry. Mary was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. She is survived by four sisters, Marsha and Roger Moreland, Elaine Seaton, Betty and Claire Fields and Holly Seaton; three brothers, Walter Jr., Richard and Tammy, and David Seaton; five nieces, Tiffany Fields, Michele Baranowski, Amanda Seaton, Jody Perry and Chelsea Moreland; a nephew, John Morris; a great-niece, Tapanga; and three great-nephews, Jonathan, Logan and Hunter. Mary’s family would like to offer their thanks and heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff at Rome Health Residential HCF for their wonderful care and compassion. They’d like to express a very special thank you to Audrey and Denise for their loving one on one attention shown Mary. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Interment will take place in Carmichael Hill Cemetery.
