Obituary of Matthew M. Parker

Matthew M. Parker, 36, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. He was born in Rome on July 1, 1985, a son of Steven and Christina (Crumb) Parker. In 2011 he was united in marriage to Jill Russell. Matt worked in food service at CNY Psychiatric Center for several years. On his days off, he liked to go four wheeling or ride his dirt bike and loved to sit down and play video games with his two children. He is survived by his wife, Jill “JJ”; his father, Steven (Anne); two cherished children, Natalie “Toots” and Lucas “Buddy”; a brother, Shawn (Cindy); a niece, Evelyn and her mother Courtney; three best friends, Kristen Konight, Daniel Zanker and Mario Lopez. He was predeceased by his mother, Christina. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Monday, September 27th from 4-7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Rome Cemetery.
