Obituary of Nancy P. Mallek

Nancy P. Mallek, 98, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021. She was born in Utica on December 13, 1922, a daughter of Walter and Mary (Lachut) Sychtysz. Nancy worked at Varflex Corp. for many years. She was member of Transfiguration Church, the Ukrainian Club and the Women of the Moose. Nancy is survived two daughters, Darlene Mullin and Gloria Valentine; two sons, Chester Dobrizenski and Frank Labuz; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Josie and Nellie; and three brothers, John, Steve and Stanley. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 23rd at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
