Obituary of Lorraine S. Landry

Lorraine S. Landry, 81, of Rome, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021, at St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford. Born in Rome on May 27, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Smith) Mezza. On July 5, 1958, she was united in marriage to Marden F. Landry, a blessed union of 63 years. Lorraine worked at Marcy State Hospital for over 35 years. Surviving beside her husband, Marden, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Marden L. and Joelle Landry and Johnny and Cynthia Landry; three grandchildren, Justin and Jason Landry and Jessica Morrissette; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Rosemary Mezza and Shirley Hart; and four brothers, Louis, Richard, Raymond and Gaetano Mezza. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 23rd at 1:30 p.m.at St. John the Baptist Church, 200 E. Dominick St., Rome. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call prior to Mass on Thursday from 10:30 am to 12:30 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
