Obituary of Ashley R. Crofoot

Please share a memory of Ashley to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ashley Rose Crofoot, 36, of Rome, joined her parents in heaven on Sunday, September 12, 2021, with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 22, 1984, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Hartford. The daughter of Donald M. and Deborah A. Lovett Crofoot, Ashley graduated from Rome Free Academy in 2002, and then went on to earn her associate degree from MVCC. She enjoyed working as the General Manger at Scotty’s Hot Dogs for the last 20 years and was also a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Ashley was beautiful, vibrant, and fun, with a smile that lit up an entire room. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and living a wonderful life. If you were loved by Ashley, you knew it, and she made sure that you felt it. She was taken from this world before her time. Ashley is survived by her brother James Crofoot, her significant other Scott Smith, her aunt Anne Marie (Richard) Zakala, special cousins Alexis Bertrand (Brandon), Matthew Zakala (Jenna DeBlasiis), Jenna Zakala and many other special cousins and friends. Please join us in a celebration of Ashley’s life on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 11:00AM at St. John the Baptist Church for a mass of Christian burial. Friends may call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, NY on Wednesday from 4-7PM. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
