Obituary of Paul J. Lukasiewicz

Paul J. Lukasiewicz, 72, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Colonial Park Nursing Facility in Rome. Born in Syracuse on August 31, 1949, he was a son of the late Walter and Eva (Buntis) Lukasiewicz. He was a graduate of Baldwinsville High School and went to earn a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in History from SUNY-Oswego. Paul was a counselor with the New York State Department of Corrections for many years before retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Rome Alliance Church and served on the board at Care Net of Rome. He also was an avid collector of miniatures, specifically those of the military. Paul is survived by a sister, Geraldine Fitzpatrick. He was predeceased by a sister, Jacqueline Gould. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 16th, 11:00 a.m. at Rome Alliance Church.
