Dorothy F. Lee, of Rochester, NY, and formerly of Rome, NY, passed away on September 7, 2021. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Susan; parents, Barney and Helen Furgal; sister, Arlene Smith. She is survived by children James (Joann) Lee of Rome NY, Kathy (Dana) Tyler of Webster, NY; grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Tyler of Webster, NY, Jenna Lee (fiancé Kyle Guiffre) of Broad Brook, CT, and James Lee of Rome, NY; and a niece Krystine (Dave) Keegan of Syracuse, NY. She lived in Rome for several years and was a member of Transfiguration Church. For the past few years, she resided at the Atria Assisted Living Community in Penfield, NY. Originally from New York Mills, NY, she attended St. Mary’s School, and was employed at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, NY working at the base hospital, legal and military personnel offices. Upon retirement from the United States Air Force, she worked for the Bank of New York as an overseas account specialist in Westmoreland, NY. Dorothy enjoyed travelling to visit the Amish in PA, Polish cooking, and trying her luck at the local casinos, but the driving force in her life and her greatest passion were her family. She loved her family; her children, her grandchildren were the loves of her life and the light in her eyes. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
