Francis “Hoz” Prevo passed away peacefully on August 31, 2021. Born in Rome, New York on November 14, 1932, he was the son of Henry and Velma Prevo. Hoz is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Elizabeth A. Prevo, his daughter Renee Argentine, son-in-law Ronald Argentine, son David Prevo, daughter-in-law Linda Prevo, grandchildren Bradley, Eric and Robert Argentine, Caelen and Alex Prevo and two great grandchildren Colin and Madison Argentine. A lifelong resident of Rome, Hoz graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1951. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Naval Air Force. He served for four years then returned to his beloved Rome, New York. Hoz worked in the injection molding and plastics business first at Oneida Molded Plastics then LaSalle Laboratories where he managed their Injection Molding facilities in Canajoharie and Little Falls, New York; he retired in 1987. Hoz was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, skiing, golfing and fishing. He was a longtime member of Teugega Country Club and season pass holder at Woods Valley. Calling hours will be held on Friday September 3rd from 4pm – 6pm at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, 418 N. George Street, Rome. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday September 4th at 9am at St. Peter’s Church, 200 N. James Street, Rome.
