Anthony V. Evans, ("Weasel") 71, of Rome, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021, at home with his loving family by his side. Born in Rome on June 10, 1950, he was a son of the late Owen and Leona (Lombino) Evans. On June 30, 1979, he was united in marriage to Elaine Petrucci. She passed away February, 14, 2019. Tony worked at Revere Copper & Brass for over 35 years. He loved to ride his Harley, fix up old cars, mow his lawn, try new recipes and make people laugh. He always had a story or a joke but he was always willing to lend a hand. He had many close friends that he cherished. He adored his wife, Elaine and missed her greatly. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Valerie & Paul for the never-ending help during these past few years. Tony is survived by three daughters, Laura and her husband Kevin Hagan of Syracuse, NY; Deanna Evans and Andrew Capobianco of East Granby, CT; and Jenna Evans and Mike Jones of Springfield, MA. He has five beloved grandchildren: Sophie, Coleman, Cora, Thomas, and Vinny; a sister, Patty Enos (Allen); a brother, George Evans (Janet); and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Rosemary Recchio and Jane DeAngelis. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, August 31st, at 3:30 to 6:30pm at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N.
