Obituary of Vito J. Carambia

Vito J. Carambia, Sr. 73, of Blossvale, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Born in Rome on May 29, 1948, he was a son of the late Phillip and Ida (Squadrito) Carambia. He was 1967 graduate of Rome Free Academy and earned an Associate’s Degree from Copper City Community College. On February 11, 1969, he was united in marriage to Sarah “Sally” Schuster. She passed away April 23, 2020. Vito had long careers working for Serway Brothers, Laribee Wire and finally retiring from Revere Copper Products, Inc. He was an avid guitar player. He enjoyed playing bluegrass, country and classic rock. Vito was also a classic car collector. Vito is survived by two children, Katrina Wolfe (Bruce) and Vito II; two sisters-in-law, Robin Carambia and Ruth Ann Williams (Robert); several nieces and nephews and his beloved grand-puppies. He was predeceased by two siblings, Mary Lou DeRuby and Phillip Carambia, Jr. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
