Julia Delgado, 92, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the Grand of Rome. She was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico, on January 9, 1929. On November 29, 1952, she was united in marriage to Antonio Delgado, a blessed union of 62 years. He passed away December 15, 2014.
Julia was a member of the Maranatha Church and loved to cook.
She is survived by two children, Evelyn Gonzalez (Roberto) and Anibal Delgado (Carol); two brothers, Victor Lopez and Juan Santos; eleven grandchildren, Roberto Gonzalez, Jr. (Shayna), Lissette Rosario (Wilfredo), Jocelyn Cortez, Lilliana Ortiz (Gabriel), Marisol Cruz (Christian), Salvador Cortez (Grace), Roberto Gonzalez, Lydia Hawk (Nathan), Julia Parr (Jordan), Israel Delgado and Daniel Delgado; nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Friday, August 20th from 5-7:00 p.m.
