Obituary of James J. Fuller, Jr.

James J. “Jim” Fuller, Jr., 83, of Cocoa, FL, and formerly of Rome, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the St. Francis Reflections Care Center in Titusville, FL. Born in Rome on December 29, 1937, he was the son of the late James J. and Marion (Kirk) Fuller, Sr. He graduated with the Class of 1955 from Rome Free Academy and earned a degree from the Albany Business College. On September 2, 1967, he was united in marriage to Sharon Gossner, a blessed union of 53 years. Jim was a veteran of the United States Air Force and after being honorably discharged he enjoyed a 39-year career at Rome Cable Corp. before retiring in 2004. While at Rome Cable, he served on the board and was the Supervisory Committee Chairman of the Colonial Federal Credit Union. Surviving besides his loving wife, Sharon, are two children, Karen Fuller-Sirotkin (Michael) and James Fuller (Tracy); two sisters, Agnes Koster and Joan Fuller; five grandchildren, Cassandra and Joseph Fuller and Jonah, Meredith and Elijah Sirotkin; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Brett. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 23rd, at 11:00 a.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Interment will take place in Rome Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday, August 22nd, from 2-4:00 p.m.
