Name: Ulysses A. "Tony" Paolini Date of Death: Saturday, October 27, 2007 Residence: Rome, New York Age: 92 Obituary:Ulysses A. (Tony) Paolini, 92, of Rome, died October 26, 2007 in Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born February 4, 1915, in New York City, the son of Frank and Virginia Grassi Paolini. He was educated in New York City schools. On October 3, 1948 he married Elvera E. (Vera) Tabano in New York City. She died February 23, 1998. Tony worked for Electro-Chemical and Engraving Company for several years. He later owned and operated Bainbridge Cab Co. and Tony's Candy Store before retiring in 1977. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps and served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Tony is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Joseph Saccento, Rome; a son, Richard Paolini, Tampa, FL; a sister and brother-in-law, Domenica and Tony Jesselli, Bronx; six grandchildren, Tammy, Laura, Toni, Philip, Joseph, and Timothy; and five great-grandchildren, Danielle, Marco, David, Hunter, and Christian. Funeral services will take place at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Monday at 11:30am. Interment will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery.
