Obituary:Karl F. Schultz, 70, of 1 Elsie St., Rome, formerly of Clark Mills, died on Friday, October 26, 2007, at Betsy Ross Rehabilitation Center, following a long illness. He was born on January 27, 1937, in New Hartford, NY, the son of Raymond and Margaret Pierce Schultz. Karl was a graduate of Whitesboro High School. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1957 to 1961.
He was employed by Chicago Pneumatic for over 25 years. He later worked for Twin Pines Country Club in San Diego, CA.
Karl was active in the Boys Scout and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of the Mount Hunger Fish and Game Club in Sangerfield.
Surviving is one daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Thomas Johnson, Lee Center; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Bonny Schultz, Floyd, and Kenny and Kim Schultz, Florence; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Roger Klosner, Clinton, Dorothy and Bernie Taillie, Rochester, and Carolyn and Ron Marriott, Myrtle Beach, SC; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Sharon Schultz, Phoeniz, AZ, Paul and Paula Schultz, Oneida, and David and Mary Schultz, West Winfield; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Karl was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Constantini, in 2005.
Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Monday, October 29, 2007, at 8:00 PM. Family and friends are invited may call on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
