Obituary of James J. Campany

James J. “Jim” Campany, 67, of Verona, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021, at Oneida Healthcare. Born in Lowville on December 21, 1953, he was a son of the late Ronald Campany and Charlene “Polly” (Collins) Hill. On August 23, 1980, he was united in marriage to Linda Waliszewski. Jim owned and operated Campany Roofing of Oneida for 41 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s of the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Sylvan Beach. Jim loved to travel to his favorite place, Key West, FL, as often as he could and attending Lynard Skynyrd concerts. Surviving besides his loving wife of 40 years, Linda, is a daughter, Patsi Campany (Jonathan Coleman); two sons, Jason Caperton and Charlie Campany (Liz); a sister, Jeanne Roth (Scott); two brothers, Bruce Campany (Jackie) and Ed Campany (Debra); six cherished grandchildren, Camdyn Caperton, Landin Tarantino, Callan Tarantino, Haven Coleman, Breslin Coleman and Cole Campany; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Julie Campany, and a brother, Ricky Hill. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
