Kathleen L. “Hoppy” Lohr, 72, of Durhamville, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Oneida Healthcare. She was born in Rome on January 25, 1949, a daughter of the late Harold and Virginia (Hewitt) Brower. On February 26, 1966, she was united in marriage to Richard Lohr. She looked forward to camping every year, whether it was at Whetstone Gulf or any other spot. Hoppy was a loving and caring mother, grandma and great-grandma. She was often crocheting blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, offering rides and spending time with them. Surviving besides her loving husband, Richard, is a daughter, Tina Megerell (Ernest): three sons, Henry Lohr (Wendy), John Lohr and Billy Lohr; three sisters, Virgena Havener, Gloria Sykes and Wanda Reed (Gary); a brother, Harold Brower (Gayle); twelve cherished grandchildren, fourteen beloved great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Caroline Joslyn. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Grove Cemetery in Verona. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Wednesday, April 28th from 5-7:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home at one time, everyone must wear a face covering upon entering and proper social distancing protocols must be adhered to once inside.
