Obituary of Betty Jane Eldred

Betty Jane Eldred, 94, of Rome, NY, passed away on January 8, 2021, at Bethany Gardens. She was predeceased by Husband, Robert Eldred of 69 years. Betty had been employed by the Rome City School District. She leaves behind a son, Tom Eldred (Debra) Webster, NY; a daughter, Debra VanNatta (Joel) Mt Joy, PA; and a son-in-law, Tom Kuntz, Sunset Beach, NC; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Eldred; a grandson, David Eldred; and a brother, Bill Schneible. Betty’s family would like to thank MaryJo Jennings and the Staff at Bethany Gardens for their wonderful care and compassion. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021, at 11:30AM at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, 418 N. George St, Rome. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service from 10-11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to Bethany Gardens Activities Fund. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home at one time, everyone must wear a face covering upon entering and proper social distancing protocols must be adhered to once inside.
