Obituary of Wilfredo Rosario

Wilfredo Rosario, Sr., 73, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Rome Memorial Hospital. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, on December 11, 1947, a son of the late Alejo and Maria (Quiñones) Rosario. On September 25, 1971, he was united in marriage to Aurea E. Santiago, a blessed union of 49 years. Wilfredo worked for several years at Con Med Corp until retiring in 2009. He was an active and loyal member of Maranatha Church for 27 years. His passion was his family, church and serving his community. His smile brightened any room he walked into and anyone who met him felt loved immediately. His legacy and memory lives on in the loved ones that he left behind and will remain alive forever. Surviving besides his loving wife, Aurea, are nine children, Carmen Maria Rosario, Elizabeth (Jose) Santiago, Edwin (Ivelis) Santiago, Mildred (Robert) Lopez, Veronica (Javier) Figueroa, Wilfredo (Lissette) Rosario, Jr., Aurea (Jeffrey) De Los Santos, Emanuel Rosario and Josue (Magdi) Rosario; three brothers, Orlando, Victor and Efrain Rosario; seventeen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, nine nieces and nephews and his two beloved dogs, Rocky and Max. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Thursday from 5-7:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home at one time, everyone must wear a face covering upon entering and proper social distancing protocols must be adhered to once inside.
