Obituary of Donald G. Lighthall

Donald G. Lighthall, Jr., of Rome, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at St. Elizabeth’s Healthcare in Utica. Born in Rome on August 14, 1980, he was a son of Donald and Wanda Lighthall, Sr. Don enjoyed being outdoors playing golf, fishing and wandering around looking for buried treasures with his son Donald. Mostly though, he loved spending time with his kids. He is survived by his parents, Don Sr. and Wanda; three daughters, Makayla, Cadence and Cyra Lighthall; three sons, Donald III, Caleb and Cameron Lighthall; two sisters, Deborah (Bernard) Buchanan and Deanna Chapple; a brother, Jeff (Melanie) Coonrod; three grandchildren, Mason, Isabelle and Ryker and one on the way; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Thursday from 4-6:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home at one time, everyone must wear a face covering upon entering and proper social distancing protocols must be adhered to once inside.
