Obituary of Dale 0. Sexton

Dale Sexton, 70, of Floyd, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side, on Thursday, November 12, 2020. Born in Rome on December 9, 1949, he was a son of Leo and Edith (Jones) Sexton. He was a 1969 graduate of Holland Patent High School. In June of 1968 he was united in marriage to Jane Pitts. She passed away on October 3, 2017. Dale worked for many years at Pettibone and Oneida Limited before retiring from Revere Copper and Brass Co. He loved to work with his hands and especially enjoyed rebuilding tractors alongside his friends. He is survived by his mother, Edith Sexton; a daughter, Tracy Sexton (Kenneth Eisnor); four sons. Paul (Ruth) Sexton, Scott (Diane) Sexton, John (Trina) Sexton and Bob (Jen) Sexton; three sisters, Edna (Gene) Bunal, Diane (Fred) Cady and Beatrice Howard; a brother, Daniel Sexton; eleven grandchildren, Samantha, Courtney, Owen, Arianna, Nicholas, Derrick, Jason, Alexis, Andrew, Michael and Lucas; his longtime buddy, Joe Huey; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Leo. Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 16th at 1:00 p.m. at Townsend Cemetery in Stittville. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
