She was born on October 22, 1925, in Rome, the daughter of Perry and Flora Manzer Butts. She graduated from Rome Free Academy. On February 19, 1944, she married John W. Jaski, in Rome. He died on August 30, 2001. She was a member of St. Paul's Church, AARP Chapter of Rome, and the South Rome Senior Citizens, Inc. Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. John W. and Nora Jaski, Glenville; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Frank Downing, Hoosick; Falls four grandchildren, Lisa Winn and her spouse Matthew, Rory Fivek and her spouse Jason, Courtney McCarthy and her spouse Kevin, and Kimberly Jaski; great-granddaughter, Allison Winn; a sister-in-law, Irene Jaski Cordiale, Sacramento, CA; and a brother, Bramwell Howell, Rome. Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Friday, August 24, 2007, at 10 AM and St. Paul's Church at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
