Obituary:Anne M. Imler, 93, of 709 Massena Ave., Rome, died Monday, July 30, 2007, at Stonehedge Nursing Home. She was born on April 10, 1914, in Altoona, PA, the daughter of Nicholas and Margaret Frekot Weber. She was graduated from Altoona Catholic High School. On November 29, 1941, she married James E. Imler, in Altoona, PA. He died on July 26, 2007.
Anne worked in the Guidance Office of Rome Free Academy for several years. She was a member of the Retired Secretaries of the Rome City School District.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Christine Imler, Rome; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Jack Wharton, Altoona, PA; four grandchildren, Scott and Claudia, John and Elia, Andy, and Amanda; one great-grandson, Michael; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Nicholas Weber, who was killed in action during WWII, European Theatre, and Charles Weber.
Double funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Imler will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 10:00 AM. Interment at Rome Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
