McLean, Jr., 86, of 8179 Elmer Hill Rd., Rome, died July 22, 2007, at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 11, 1921, in Rome, the son of Paul G. and Margaret Hawkins McLean, Sr. He attended Rome schools. In 1943, he married Mary Broderick. She died in 1998. He also married Dorothy Bateman on September 12, 1998. She died on January 12, 2004. He was employed by Revere Copper and Brass Products in the Industrial Sales Department from 1944 to 1977. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in the 1306 Combat Engineers from 1943 to 1944. He was a member of St. Paul's Church, Henry P. Smith Post American Legion, Lake Delta Volunteer Fire Department, and a long time member of the Teugega Country Club. Paul was an avid golfer and loved the Adirondack Mountains. Surviving is a brother and sister-in-law, Robert F. and Carol McLean, Rome; a nephew and niece, David and Margaret Barcomb and their children; a nephew and niece, Sarah and David and Catherine, MA; a nephew and niece, Robert and Aimee McLean and their daughter, Emma, Rochester; and a special friend and neighbor, Robert Knudsen, Rome. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at St. Paul's Church at 9:30 AM. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
