(Bob) Utter, 81, of 2772 Breezewood Drive, North Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Watertown and Rome, New York, died Friday, July 13, 2007 at the Hope Hospice House, Cape Coral, Florida. He was born March 30, 1926 in Rome the son of Fred and Josephine Lynch Utter. Mr. Utter was a graduate of St. Aloysius Academy and SUNY at Morrisville. On February 5, 1949 he married Lesley Walters in Morrisville. Mr. Utter was employed by Dairylea, Inc. for forty years retiring 1986 in Watertown. Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II in the Pacific and European Theatres. He was a member and Usher at St. Francis Church, Fort Myers and while in Rome he was a member of St. Peter's Church. Surviving besides his wife are one daughter and son-In-Law, Lesley and Wayne Smithers, Lorraine, New York, one son, Stephen Utter, N. Ft. Myers; one brother, John Utter, Phoenix, Arizona; two granddaughters, Heather Cleveland; Katie Smithers and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Paul Cleveland. He was predeceased by two sons, John Utter and Paul Utter. Funeral will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome Wednesday 11:45A.M. and St. Peter's Church 12:30P.M. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery.
