"Bob" Robare, 50, of 709 Lincoln Ave., Rome, died June 11, 2007, at Rome Memorial Hospital, following a long illness. He was born February 25, 1957, in Detroit, MI, the son of Kenneth and Joan Jarvis Robare. He attended Rome Schools. On May 26, 1979, he married Teresa Toohey, in Syracuse. He later married Shelly Baker Battelene on September 28, 2006, in Rome. He was employed by Revere Copper Products and was a member of St. Peter's Church. Surviving besides his wife; his mother, Rome; are two daughters and a son-in-law, Aubrey Robare, Syracuse, and Samantha and Kevin Weaver, Central Square; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda Martin, Syracuse, and Trudy and Jack Allen, Lee Center; one brother and sister-in-law, Skip and Beverly Richardson, Hilton; step-daughter, Jaime Knout, Rome; two step-sons, Christopher and Elizabeth Knout, Raleigh, NC, and Aaron Baker, Rome; two step-grandchildren, Maya and Kaili; and his beloved cat, Pikachu. Bob's family wishes to express their gratitude to all his coworkers at Revere Copper Products, especially Bill Reese, Dr. Feeney, Linda Clifford, the Rome Fire Rescue, AmCare Ambulance, and the Rome Memorial Hospital ER for the kindness and compassion shown to him during his long illness. Services: Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 1:15 PM and at St. Peter's Church at 2:00 PM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Contributions may be made in Bob's memory to the Rome United Way.
