He was born on March 9, 1932, in Pittsfield, MA, the son of Louie and Mildred Sager Adams. Richard was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. On October 10, 1951, he married Nellie Hazzard. He was employed by Summitt Park, LLC, in Oriskany. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Jim Roll, Garden Grove, CA, Debbie and Steve Arnold, Eugene, OR, and Dawn and Skip Anderson, Oriskany, NY; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Pattie Adams, Whittier, CA, and Louis Adams, Oriskany, NY; a sister, Annie, Corrine, Linda, of NY; a brother, Bill Adams, Palm Springs, CA; and seven grandchildren, Jimmy, Travis, Scott, Mike, Darren, Dustin, and Brianna and six great-grandchildren Brendan, Kendra, Jayden, Travis (TJ), Taylor Rose, and Dillon. Services: Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Church in Whitesboro on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at 11:30 AM. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
