Obituary: Nancy K. Sharron, 73, of 806 Bedford Dr., Rome, died on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at her home, after a brief illness. She was born on July 17, 1934, in Rome, the daughter of Walter H. and Eleanor Hughes Kimberly. She was a graduate of Oriskany High School. On October 5, 1979, she married Bert Sharron in Rome. He died on September 23, 2002.
She was employed as a service representative for the New York Telephone Company for nineteen years, retiring in 1982.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Kevin Sharrow, Rome; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Roxann Baumfalk-Lee, Wichita, KS, and Donald Lee and his partner, Miles Brown, New York City; a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Richard Kahler, Rome; a sister-in-law, Kay Kimberly, Cicero; three grandchildren, Christopher and his wife, Kim Sharrow, Rome, Laura Sharrow and her fiancé, Jason Lewin, Vernon, and John T. Baumfalk-Lee, Wichita, KS; three step-children, Betty and Paul Schilling, Rome, Bert and Amy Sharron, Empeyville, and Michelle and Kevin McGarry, Australia; eight step-granchildren, Michelle Joyal, Brianne and Kristy Biancucci, Dustin, Curtis, and Amber Sharron, and Tara and Matthew McGarry; a close family friend, Linda Rahn, Rome; and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by a brother, William Kimberly, in 1992. Nancy was fond of animals, especially her feline companion, Casey O'Malley, whom she loved very much.
Services: Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Thursday, November 8, 2007, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Rome Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Nancy's memory to the Humane Society of Rome, Inc., P.O.
