He was a veteran of the United States Marines serving during the Vietnam Era. Mike was employed by the Rome Developmental Center retiring due to disability. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael J. Gacina, III, Rome and Issiah N. Gacina and his spouse, Melissa, DesMoines, Iowa.
