"Lavana" Morgan, 49, of Blossvale, died August 6, 2007 in Rome Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born September 17, 1957 in Oneida, the daughter of Earl and Cora Parkhurst Brown. She was educated in Union Springs, NY schools. Elaine was a cook at Beck's Grove for several years. She is survived by her fiancée, George Anderson; her mother, Cora Bell, Blossvale; two daughters, Kristy Meeker and her husband, Gordon, Rome, and Charmion Anderson and her fiancé, Ernest Kelsey, Jr., Rome; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Denyel Morgan, Camden; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jean Brown, Gastonia, NC, and Belinda and Lynn Hollingsworth, Rome; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee and Linda Brown, Bridgeport, Francis and Maria Brown, Jacksonville, FL, and Joseph and Cory Bell, Shelby, NC; five grandchildren, George, Ariel, Cole, Jonathon, and Audy; several nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Jessica Brown. Services: Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 7pm at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7pm.
