He was born July 5, 1923, in Utica, the son of Walter and Agnes Priba Knobloch, Sr. Walter was a graduate of Utica College. On August 26, 1949, he married Geraldine Poppleton in St. Anthony of Padua Church in Chadwicks, NY. She died May 4, 1991. Walter worked for the United States Treasury Department for several years. He served in the US Army during World War II. Walter is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Mario Nastasi, Clinton Township, MI, and Carol and Joseph Group, Kirkville, NY; and four grandchildren, Christina and David Nastasi, and Steven and Allison Group. Services: Funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 11am at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home Inc, 418 N. George St., Rome. Interment will take place in Green Lawn Cemetery, New Hartford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9am to 11am.
