Name: Jeanette J. Ernest Date of Death: Friday, May 11, 2007 Residence: Rome, NY Age: 72 Obituary: Jeanette J. Ernst, 72, of Rome, died May 11, 2007, at her residence after a long illness. She was born March 24, 1935, in Rome, the daughter of Stanley and Jenny Baker Janis. She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. On August 28, 1954, she married Francis Ernst. Jeanette managed all facets of their construction company, Janis Homebuilders. She worked for the Rome Sentinel and also worked at Oneida County BOCES for several years, retiring in 2003. She dedicated her life to Jehovah in 1953 and enjoyed her ministry ever since. Many will remember Bible studies in their homes and her strong belief in spiritual matters. She was a member of the Rome South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Surviving besides her husband, are her mother and step-father, Jenny and Don Froelich; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Art LoMascolo; a son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Elizabeth Ernst; and six grandchildren, Jordan, Amber, Moriah, Savannah, Joshua and Dylan, all of Rome. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan. Jeanette was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had the ability to enrich anyone's life she came in contact with and will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Services: A memorial service for Jeanette will be held on Friday, May 18, at 6:30pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness on Potter Road in Rome. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
