Eldridge, Sr., 70, of Blossvale, died August 17, 2007 in Rome Memorial Hospital after being stricken at home. He was born July 15, 1937, in Rome, the son of Winferd and Alice Keavey Eldridge. He was a 1955 graduate of Rome Free Academy. On June 2, 1956, he married Eunice Lacell in the Taberg United Methodist Church. Carl retired in 1994 after working for 33 years at Griffiss Air Force Base. He previously worked at Revere Copper and Brass Co. and Rome Cable Corp. Mr. Eldridge was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, a Democratic Committeeman, and a member and Trustee at the Vienna United Methodist Church. Surviving besides his wife, are four daughters and two sons-in-law, Lynn Ann and Agostino Raulli, Rome, Robin Eldridge, Camden, Laurie and Mark Kohlbrenner, Rome, and Jeannette Eldridge, Blossvale; a son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Carrie Eldridge, Jr., Liverpool; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jean and Crager Boardman, Sr., Camden, and Karen Gill, Rome; a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Virginia Eldridge, Rome; eight grandchildren, Marcellina (Carlo) Catalano, Christina (Bryn) Tierney, E. Alexander Raulli, Kylie Kohlbrenner, Gabhriel Kohlbrenner, Robert Kohlbrenner, Sable Eldridge and Cole Eldridge; an aunt, Kathryn Waite, Baldwinsville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 6pm at the Vienna United Methodist Church. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 3-6pm. Contributions in Carl's memory may be made to the Vienna United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the Oneida County ARC. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
