Corrigan, Sr., 82, of 8081 Herder Road, Blossvale, New York, died Monday, March 28, 2005 in Rome Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on March 14, 1923 in New York City the son of Francis and Josephine Platz Corrigan. Mr. Corrigan was a graduate of Patchogue High School the Class of 1942. On December 3, 1949 he married Elizabeth Ostermeier. She died December 5, 1999. George was employed for the New York Army National Guard for over thirty-five years retiring in 1981. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. Mr. Corrigan was a member of the Henry P. Smith Post of the American Legion. Surviving are two daughters, Janette Corrigan, Blossvale; Sharon Rini, Florida; two sons and daughters-in-law, George and Laura Corrigan, Jr., New Windsor, New York; Dennis and Jai'me Corrigan, Honolulu, Hawaii; five grandchildren, Victoria Anderson and her spouse Christopher, Jason Corrigan , Kristy Corrigan, Michael Rini, Keal'a Nizo- Corrigan , one great-granddaughter, Rose Lyn Pounds and a special friend Matthew Kaido. Graveside services will be held in the summer at Rathbunville Cemetery, Town of Verona. Friends may call at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N.
