Wyman, 85, formerly of Stokes-Lee Center, Lee Center, died Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Sunset Nursing Home, Boonville after a long illness. She was born May 20, 1922 in Rome the daughter of George and Mary Smith Alder. Mrs. Wyman was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. On July 20, 1947 she married George Wyman in Lee Center United Methodist Church. He died August 30, 2004. Bertha was employed at Griffiss Air Force Base for over thirty years retiring in July of 1982. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Lee Center. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Eliot Pollack, one son and daughter-in-law, George and Betty Wyman, Jr., all of Lee Center; five sisters and a brother-in-law, Ida Whipple, Rome; Sara Rebe, Lee Center; Marie Landi and Julia Lauber, both of Rome; Grace and Arnold Cogswell, Norman, Oklahoma; one brother, Thomas Alder, Rome; three grandchildren, Christina, Claudia, George,III and one great-granddaughter, Victoria. She was predeceased by three brothers, Howard, George and John Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome Monday 1:30P.M.
