Lenio, 83, of 6966 Oriskany Rd., Rome, died on Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 26, 1924, in Rome, the daughter of Parker and Ida Engles Knight. She was a graduate of Oriskany High School. On June 14, 1 947, she married William A. Lenio, Sr., in St. Mary's Church. She was a former President of the Mother's Club, a member of the Ladies Home Bureau, a former officer of the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW. Julia was an avid bingo player. Surviving besides her loving husband, William; are two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia Anken, Rome, and Kathryne and Kenneth Hoover, Debary, FL; three sons and two daughters-in-law, William A. Lenio, Jr., Rome, John P. and Debbie Lenio, Rome, and David J. and Mary Lenio, Elizabeth, CO; a sister, Sally Reed, Oriskany; eleven grandchildren, Diane, David, Michael, Kevin, Sherry, Jason, Richard, Tammy, John Jr., Kimberly, and Christine; and many great-grandchildren. Julia was predeceased by a son, Stephen M. Lenio, on January 28, 1982. Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 1:30 PM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Services: Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 1:30 PM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
