Obituary:Raymond P. "Ray" Pawlikowski, Sr., 81, of 714 S. George St., Rome, died on Thursday, October 04, 2007, at his residence following a long illness. He was born on June 29, 1926, in Rome, NY, the son of Joseph and Stella Peplowski Pawlikowski. He was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. On June 10, 1947, he married Concetta "Connie" Mosca in St. John's Church in Rome. She died on August 4, 2006.
He was employed by Revere Copper and Brass Products for forty-one years, retiring in 1986. He was an active bowler and an avid fisherman.
Surviving are four daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna Jardieu, Rome, Bonnie and Thomas Corcoran, Rome, Ramona and Steve Payne, Jacksonville, FL, and Nadeen Pawlikowski, Poland; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Raymond P. and Carol Pawlikowski, Jr., Cocoa Beach, FL, Terry Pawlikowski, Syracuse, Gary and Mary Pawlikowski, Ohio, NY, Randy Pawlikowski and Janet Livingston, Rome, and William and Sue Pawlikowski, Rome; one sister, Florence and Ronald Bernholtz, Westmoreland; sixteen grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Ray was predeceased by his loving wife, Connie and two grandchildren, Kelli Townsend and Ryan Pawlikowski.
Ray's family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Hospice Staff especially Nadine Reynolds and Mary Jones for the kindness and compassion shown to him during his illness.
Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Monday, October 8, 2007, at 1:30PM. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
