Name: Michael Zuk Date of Death: Wednesday, September 19, 2007 Residence: Camden, New York Age: 92 Obituary:Michael "Mike" Zuk, 92, of Camden, died on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at his residence. He was born on September 15, 1915, in Blue Jay, PA, the son of John and Xenia Lehman Zuk. He attended Rome Schools. On May 28, 1935, he married Lucy Demski, in Rome. She died in 1980. He was employed by the Camden Central School District for thirty years as the head of the Transportation Department, retiring in 1985. He previously worked for the Rome City Bus Lines. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ronald Walrath, Scotia; two grandsons, Micheal Sweeney and his former spouse, Mary Sweeney, and David and Tracy Sweeney; five great-grandchildren; two foster daughters, Carla La Porte, Merrimack, NH, and Alberta Tate, Traverse, MI; and many, many, lifelong, wonderful friends. He was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy Zuk. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007, at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Route 13, Camden, at 8:45 AM, and at St. John the Evangelist Church in Camden, at 9:30 AM. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home.
