Tarbania, 74, of Rome, passed away on July 16, 2007, at Stonehedge Nursing Home, following a long illness. She was born on June 13, 1933, in Rome, the daughter of Edward and Helen Wygant Quackenbush. She attended Rome schools. On June 4, 1955, she married John C. Tarbania, Sr., in Rome. He passed away on June 26, 2006. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society of Stonehedge. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Ron Jackson; two sons, John Tarbania, Jr., and Paul Tarbania, all of Rome; a son-in-law, James Martino, Camden; a sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Bob Fadness, Floyd, and a special devoted, loving sister, Roselyn Turchetti, Utica; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, LaSandria L. Martino; a grandson, Anthony Paul Tarbania; and a sister, Helen Schenna. Beverly's family would like to express their gratitude to the Doctors, Staff, and friends at Stonehedge Nursing Home for the kindness and compassion shown to her during her long illness. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Oriskany Cemetery at TBA. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
