She was born September 5, 1920, on Mohawk Hill, the daughter of Clayton and Margaret Sims Kraeger. She was a graduate of Constableville High School. Dorothy married Walter Griffin in 1944. She later wed Delton (Del) Larkin. Dorothy worked for several years at Griffiss Air Force Base and the Rome Unemployment Office. She was a member of St. Mary's Church. Mrs. Larkin is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Faith Griffin, Verona and Las Vegas; a sister, Rita Puchyr, Rome; two grandchildren, Margaret Carro and Antoinette Mahoney; two step grandchildren, Pam Ashley and Robert McAree; and seven great grandchildren, Liam, Connor, Matthew, Mitchell, Nicholas, Erin and Amber. She was predeceased by a step granddaughter, Kimberly McAree. A Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Thursday at 10am at St. Mary's Church. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Verona Volunteer Fire Department.
